Roosta Beach

The sandy beach near Roosta Holiday Village is one of the best in the northwest of Estonia. There is a car park for 80 cars and boardwalks for people in wheelchairs. There are also cabanas and places for buying snacks and drinks. The adjoining Roosta Holiday Village offers various possibilities for active relaxation – starting with miniature golf and ending with a game of tennis or bowling. Roosta Holiday Village also offers accommodation and catering services.
Good to know: In summer you can learn how to surf, hire a boat or pedalo.

Paralepa forest tracks

The Paralepa park forest not far from Haapsalu has 3 km and 5 km long tracks. They provide a number of exercise opportunities, from parallel bars and balance beams to chin-ups and obstacle course runs. You can get a map from the reception desk at the nearby Fra Mare Hotel to help you navigate along the tracks. The map marks the running and ski track, which is also marked in situ, and the hotel will also hire out Nordic walking equipment, bicycles and skis.

Wiedemanni Sports Centre

In Wiedemanni Sports Centre you can in addition to basketball or volleyball also play badminton and table tennis, you can also use the body-building gym.

Haapsalu Stadium tennis courts

Haapsalu Stadium has two tennis courts with artificial grass surfaces. Court hire includes use of the changing rooms and shower facilities, and for an extra charge you can enjoy the services of the Haapsalu Water Park. You can also hire all of your tennis gear on site. Game times can be booked at the information desk in the Haapsalu Water Park by the hour.

Winter ice fishing on Lake Veskijärv in Läänemaa

Our guided ice fishing trip takes place on the picturesque, species-rich Lake Veskijärv, a well-known fishing spot in West Estonia.

Ice fishing means catching fish in a completely new way. Our fishing guide will provide you with all the necessary equipment and tips to enjoy the experience in the best possible way. If you are lucky, you might catch perch or pike. If you are not lucky enough to catch a fish, you can enjoy spending time outdoors in winter and learn how to drill ice holes.

The fish you catch are usually released back into the water, but you can also take the catch with you to make a delicious dinner later.

Liivanõmme study trail

Liivanõmme trail starts from Nõva Nature Centre, runs along a stone-paved road dating back to World War I, then passes Allikjärve lake and then runs towards west to river Uuejõe. From there go along the beach range back towards Peraküla, over the Vanajõe riverbed and then you reach Lake Toatse and then back to Peraküla. The trail is suitable for those interested in forests, nature and local cultural heritage.
Good to know: The trail is dry, very suitable for walking. The length of the trail is 7.5 kilometres and it takes about 4 hours to complete it. You will find places for picnicking near Allikajärve and Uuejõe.
