Haapsalu Italian Music Festival 2024

The performers of 2024 year’s Haapsalu Italian Music Festival are Ricchi e Poveri and Riccardo Fogli On the first weekend of June of the new year, the Italian Music Festival will take place again in the courtyard of the Bishop’s Castle in Haapsalu. Ricchi e Poveri, Riccardo Fogli, Piero Mazzocchetti, and Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino will bring beloved Italian music to the castle courtyard. The main performer of the Haapsalu Italian Music Festival on June 1 is Ricchi E Poveri. The association was formed in 1967 in Genoa, Italy. The band’s formula for success became a mixture of Italian melodic pop music and inspiration from better-known US bands. The ensemble won the Sanremo Music Festival in 1985 and performed at the Eurovision Song Contest. In the 1980s and 1990s, the musicians’ repertoire included the best-known Italian hits of that time, “Mamma Maria”, “Made in Italy” and “Se m’innamoro”. Riccardo Fogli also performs Italian ballads and pop songs in the Bishop’s Castle. In 1982, the artist appeared at the Sanremo Music Festival with the song “Storie di Tutti i Giorni”. Fogli has released over 30 albums to date and his best-known hits include “Ti Amo Pero”, “Compagnia” and “Il Segreto del Tempo”. Italian singer and tenor Piero Mazzocchetti can also be heard during the romantic evening. The man started his career in Germany when he caught the ear of the former players of Bayern Munich, who started sponsoring him. After signing a contract with Universal Music, the man toured Germany and finally reached his homeland Italy, where he participated in the biggest music festivals and TV shows and sang a duet with Jose Carreras several times. A group that cultivates Italian traditional music called Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino brings the music of the Salento region to Haapsallu. Their creations are a mix of traditional and modern music, and their concerts are full of explosive energy, passion, and rhythm that take the audience on a magical journey. Haapsalu Italian Music Festival will take place on June 1 in the yard of Haapsalu Bishop’s Castle. Tickets are cheaper until the end of November.
