21.01 SCOTTISH PARTY IN HAAPSALU
A recurrent theme of the Scottish Days is the introduction of Scottish culture, which is done in cooperation with the British Embassy, the Scottish Club, the Scottish Culture Society of Estonia and the Whiskey Club. The cultural programme includes film screenings, performances of Scottish dancers and bagpipers, as well as concerts, a whiskey course and an open championship of whiskey connoisseurs.
HAAPSALU HORROR AND FANTASY FILM FESTIVAL (HÕFF)
28.–30.04 Haapsalu Cultural Centre
HÕFF is a three-day marathon of horror and fantasy films that takes over Haapsalu, the mud capital of Estonia, every spring. The program includes the best horror and fantasy films of recent years, forgotten classics, as well as trash, cult, freak, and extreme cinema.
NIGHT OF MUSEUMS
20.05 Various museums
Once a year, on a Saturday evening in May, museums and other memory institutions will open their doors later than usual and for free, to celebrate the Europe-wide Night of Museums.

27.05–01.07 Haapsalu Cultural Centre
The Haapsalu Graphic Design Festival (HGDF) focuses on the developments of poster art and the author’s creative handwriting in graphic design. During the festival, various competitive international exhibitions are displayed.
01.06 Haapsalu Cultural Centre
The conference is aimed at the leaders of children’s reading activities – parents, teachers, librarians, recreation workers – and others who are interested in the topic and care about the culture of children, who are actively involved in this, who think that fairy tales are important, and who have taken to heart to spread and pass them on.
ITALIAN WINE DAYS IN HAAPSALU
At the Italian Culture and Wine Days, Italian wines are tasted and rated, the home-made wine finals are held, and the mood is set by various musicians and singers.
NARGENFESTIVAL: KREEK DAYS IN HAAPSALU
10.–11.06 Haapsalu Dome Church
Nargenfestival has been a memorable overseas and seaside summer festival since 2006, with an emphasis on Estonian music, including the legacy of C. Kreek.
HAAPSALU TCHAIKOVSKY FESTIVAL
The Tchaikovsky festival, which is a great event of classical music, includes a wide spectrum of academic music: symphonic and opera music, ballet, chamber concerts, exhibitions, lectures, walks, and a children's concert.
HAAPSALU EARLY MUSIC FESTIVAL
05.–09.07 Haapsalu Dome Church
First held in the beautiful West Estonian resort town of Haapsalu in 1994, the festival is one of the most considerable festivals in its own genre in Estonia and has caught the attention of many outstanding foreign artists.
The aim of the festival is to bring professional Estonian musicians and the audience closer to the masterpieces of musical culture through high-level performances.

The biggest car show, convention, and drag race for American cars in the Baltics.
22.–23.07 Haapsalu Episcopal Castle
The Yoga Festival features Estonia’s best yoga teachers and special guests from abroad. You can try dozens of yoga styles, from the classical to the modern ones, listen to talks, and participate in workshops. In the mornings and evenings, you can attend concerts and join in the singing of mantras.
ROCK IN HAAPSALU
28.07.–29.07 Haapsalu Episcopal Castle
Rock In Haapsalu is held from 28 to 29 July 2017 at Haapsalu Castle. The two-day rock festival will bring the best of legendary rock classics to the wooden-laced resort town: Suzi Quatro (UK) and Bonnie Tyler (UK); Haapsalu Chamber Choir and Raul Vaigla Band; Paul Young (UK); Gary Brooker, the vocalist of Procol Harum (UK); Tõnis Mägi and Ivo Linna.
“CHILDHOOD MAGIC” CHILDREN’S CULTURE FESTIVAL

Childhood’s Magic focuses on the traditions and customs of Lääne County, as well as the stories and activities shared by grandparents and their grandchildren. The festival aims to establish a connection between the childhood games, music, activities, and actual daily tasks of different generations.
”AUGUST BLUES” BLUES FESTIVAL
04.–06.08 Haapsalu Episcopal Castle, various venues in Haapsalu
The festival turns Haapsalu into nothing less than a musical paradise for blues fans over two days. The festival’s main concerts take place on two nights in the courtyard of the ancient Episcopal Castle, while the daytime programme includes workshops, a traditional acoustic concert at the old railway station of Haapsalu, and a blues jam until the early hours at the nightclub to be set up in the culture centre.
WHITE LADY FESTIVAL
11.–13.08 Haapsalu Old Town
The White Lady Festival has been one of the most important summer events in Haapsalu for thirty years already. During the August weekend closest to the full moon, the old town of Haapsalu turns into buzzing fairgrounds, the diverse cultural program lasts from morning to night, and at nightfall you can enjoy the open air performance about the White Lady at the Episcopal Castle.

The meeting point of sundry laces. The activities include workshops, knitting together, and sale of materials and handicraft tools.
12.08 “RANNALÕÕTS” ACCORDION FESTIVAL
The festival aims to continually support and develop accordion music in Lääne County.
“PROMENADE OF FLAVOURS” STREET FOOD FESTIVAL
19.08 Haapsalu Old Town
The street food festival is already being held for the third year in a row. On this day, the entire Karja street will become a promenade of flavours.

A vintage car parade and exhibition, stunt rides and races, a fair and a flea market, various performances, concerts, film screenings and thematic evenings all over the town.
MATSALU NATURE FILM FESTIVAL
20.–24.09 Lihula, Haapsalu
The festival aims to introduce and acknowledge new nature films and their makers, as well as promote the distribution of nature films. Traditionally, the festival also features nature photography exhibitions.
